Tilda in Hawaii

Not all of us can be as lucky as Magnolia Tilda here, apparently vacationing in Hawaii.  Isn't she adorable in her grass skirt and lei, with a tropical flower in her hair?   I love the rainbow colored ribbon I used here, with some drywall tape under it.  The musical notes are brads, and I've layered a couple doilies and flowers for a feminine look.

Give a hoot

I colored up this cute owl from Gerda Steiner Designs once again, using a different color, and a different design, so I can assure you it's quite versatile.  I was even lucky enough to find some background paper in my stash that had some owls in it.   I admit I'm not a real fan of owls, but since this one is so cute, I made an exception.   It looks wonderful in any color you might choose.  Other than my stitched die cut squares I used here, the rest is layering, along with candi-dots added to the corners, which makes it a breeze for mailing, as they squash down, without poking through your envelope.

Uh oh . . .

This may be amusing if you're the one watching, but it's a whole other story if you're the one attempting to lick a frozen icicle !!  These adorable penguins are from Whimsy Stamps, designed by Crissy Armstrong.   I must say, Crissy has many more penguins in adorable poses or situations.   This card worked up pretty easy -- snowflake background, a little layering, and the snowflake was added with a brad in the center to keep it attached.   I wanted the penguins to be the "center of attention".

Super sleuth . . .

This Super kidlet is a digital from Bugaboo -- I colored him with prismas, then cut him out to be able to attach foam behind to give him some dimension.   The perforated stars were done with a die cut, using pre-glittered papers, then I added a foam star atop, and added stickles sparkle to those also.   A fitting card for that little superman in your life.

Back to school . . .

This is sweet Leilani from Little Miss Muffet Stamps - it looks as if she's already packed her bag down for school.  She's been colored with prisma pencils/gamsol, then I used a lacy die cut around her.  The little hearts were punched from the same dotted swiss background paper.  Another foliage die cut behind my added flowers and then a bow atop one corner and there you have it.

Sweet treats

There is nothing better on a hot, summer day than a luscious, chilly, multiple scoop, ice cream cone!    You just need to eat it quickly, so it doesn't melt before you can finish it.   Boy, doesn't this Darcie bear remind you of days gone by, where you could actually get a sweet treat from a traveling vendor.   The large cone that I cut and put foam tape behind to raise it up is a stamp that came from Denami Design, and I have no idea if they're still in business.    I added stickles to give the ice cream some sheen.   I found some "sweet treat" paper to use for my background, added a couple doilies and voila, a cute summertime card.

Love from the beginning

Isn't it terrific when a toddler can bond with a puppy, and have a very best friend from the start!  It's amazing how much a dog will tolerate -- laid on, ears/tail pulled, dressed up in human clothing, well, you get the idea . . . This jean-clad boy is a stamp that Mo Manning has drawn.   I've colored with prismas, and added a few punched hearts, faux stitching and a bone brad, and then along the bottom, a strip of ribbon and a 3-D dog.   Notice the adorable tennis ball background paper - fetching, right - teehee, a little pun there.  Thanks for coming in to view!
